The Assam Khadi & Village Industries Board (AKVIB) is a statutory body created by the State Legislature by an Act called "Assam Khadi & Village Industries Board Act, 1955" (Assam Act XVI of 1955). The Assam Khadi & Village Industries Board was established and started functioning in the year 1953.
